Swarovski spotting scopes paired with Nikon cameras are a classic and highly effective digiscoping combination. Swarovski optics (particularly the ATS/STS, ATX/STX, and newer NL Pure / ATX series) are widely regarded as top-tier for digiscoping thanks to their excellent optics, high eye relief, and bright, flat fields. They pair especially well with Nikon mirrorless bodies in the Z series.
The most popular and simplest method is direct projection (afocal). Use a Swarovski digiscoping adapter—such as the TLS APO, DCA, or newer versions designed for the ATX/STX/NL systems—and connect your Nikon camera body with the appropriate T-ring or Swarovski-to-Nikon adapter.
Popular Nikon bodies for digiscoping include the Z6, Z6 II, Z7, Z8, and Z9. These work especially well because of their high-resolution sensors, silent shutter, and strong live-view focusing performance.
Recommended accessories that make the setup smoother: Swarovski TLS APO or Universal Camera Adapter + Nikon T-ring. A sturdy tripod (Gitzo, Really Right Stuff, or Manfrotto) with a good ball head or fluid head. Remote shutter release, or Nikon SnapBridge / Camera Control Pro for vibration-free shots
